Are you at a point in the year when it's getting harder to motivate and grab your students' attention? I've come across some fun apps that will help you with your class management. These apps should keep your students motivated, engaged in the lesson, and behavior under control.

These fun apps should keep your students engaged in the lesson and behavior under control. These apps are great for classroom management.

The apps are low cost or free. In fact, most of the apps will be loaded on your iPad. The apps help in setting up teams or groups, setting up a reward system for behavior or work completed, random student selector, matching students and activities, and quiz review.

Team Shake

These fun apps should keep your students engaged in the lesson and behavior under control. These apps are great for classroom management.Instead of tearing pieces of paper and writing student names on them, just add your students' names to Team Shake. This app can be used for teams, projects, centers, class jobs, and more... The teams are even divided by gender, numbered, and color-coded. You can import names from a saved file or share the teams as a CSV file. Your students will be more focused on the app instead of fighting over whose team they're on. And, it takes the pressure off you! This app is only $.99

Classroom Roulette

You can use Classroom Roulette for random selections. There are two spinners so you can match students with partners, jobs, activities, writing prompts, projects... You can enter your student names on the app and let it randomly select a student name. But, there's even more to this great app. It is excellent for differentiation. Stick Pick has the ability to display "question stems" that are tied to each student's learning ability or for ESL students. You can even track your students' performance. Questions are based on Bloom's and Bloom's Revised modes for higher level thinking. This app is $3.99.

Quizizz

Quizizz is a multiplayer tool that teachers can use for review for exams or for fun trivia. Teachers can even use quizzes that were created by others. The quizzes you create can be private or public. I just took a Black History quiz that another educator created. It integrates with Google Classroom. Questions are multiple choice and images can be added to each question. There's an app for the teacher and student. It can also be played online. This app is free.
