Planning Tips to Keep Your Day Organized

08 April 2015 / 3 comments
Hey Everyone!
I'm Jeanette from Third Grade Galore.
Just as you've heard before, I'm so excited to be a part of this group of bloggers.
Aren't the ideas being shared just awesome?
I know I'm going to learn so much from the other teachers.

Today I wanted to share some ways I keep my day organized at school.

1. Post a Daily Schedule
I printed mine and had the cards laminated.
Then, I added magnets to the back so I can easily
change my schedule each day.

2.  Print Learning Targets

This is the first year that we are really being pushed
to display learning targets.
One thing that is helping me is to print them up
at the beginning of the week.
My plan is to organize and laminate them over the summer.

3.  Keep Individual Class Lists

I use these little lists all the time.
Sometimes I put them on a stack of papers
or write down grades for a quick assessment.
I save my full sheets for the grade book.

4.  Daily Drawers

As I organize papers for the week, I simply put them in the assigned drawer.
This method has helped when I was sick and needed my teammates
to get papers together for the sub.
I simply said, "Open the Tuesday drawer."

What are some simple ways you keep yourself organized?
